Dog LANDSCAPE

quincy, Massachusetts

BLD worked closely with the Client to establish design objectives for the site in accordance with BLD’s design approach to create a functional and productive landscape. Our team evaluated the existing conditions of the site and utilized the survey provided by the client to identify main issues and opportunities.

Favoring the aesthetic and function of a natural salt marsh, the goal of this phase of work is to design several conceptual site plan options that address the overall layout of the site with planting schemes that resemble a natural look and function of the nearby salt marsh.

The concept will look into integrating elements to make the landscape suitable for dogs and a planting scheme that is suitable and adaptive to the existing ecologies on and near the site. The site will feature a range landscape elements such as infiltration basins, fencing, pathways, planting beds, and artificial turf, seating, and even a racetrack for the dogs.
